Project Leverage supports educators interested in improving STEM instruction for emergent bilingual learners in secondary schools. Become a leader in your school/district towards equity and excellence for bilingual emergent learners. Participate in coaching cycles as you innovate your STEM teaching practices.
Project Leverage – Program Overview:
- Complete the Leverage Program in 6 months:
- Four(4)10-week online courses for working professionals with university course credit
- Program pays for costs of four 3-unit online courses worth $4,000 (12 graduate level units)
- Receive coaching for integrating literacy in STEM in your content area
- Receive a $1000 stipend
Project Leverage is designed for teachers who are interested in adding Bilingual Authorization to their existing credentials. This program prepares participants to obtain state certification in Bilingual Education in California or Texas. This project is funded by the US Department of Education.
